Picture of TEEN TUNES PLUS Teen Tunes Plus is a cognitive skills tutorial and a control switch training program designed for use by pre-teens and teens with severe cognitive or physical disabilities and adults learning to use a switch. This program combines a variety of musical interludes with large, interesting graphics, beautiful pictures, and surprising animations. It enciourages intentional use of the switch, improvies visual or auditory attention, enables choice making, and gives the student control over the environment. Incorporated are a variety of ways to use a switch: simple scanning with two through nine choices, auditory or quiet scanning, inverse switch, and press and hold. The scan rate can be changed on the fly. The program can also be accessed using a mouse, a touch screen, or Intellikeys (see separate entry). COMPATIBILITY: A hybrid CD-ROM offers versions for use on Macintosh and IBM and compatible computers. Individual versions are available for Macintosh or IBM and compatible computers on diskette. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: The Macintosh version requires a 68040 processor or a Power PC, a CD-ROM drive, and 8 to 16 megabytes (MB) RAM. The IBM version requires Windows 95/98, 32 MB RAM, CD-ROM drive, SVGA monitor, sound card, and speakers. The Macintosh version on diskette requires an LC III or faster processor, 8 MB RAM, a 256-color monitor, and System 7. The Windows version on diskette requires Windows 3.1 or Windows 95 or 98, 16 to 32 MB RAM, a SVGA monitor, sound card, and speakers. OPTIONS: A set of seven Intellikeys overlays is available.
