The Cheaper Speak 8 is a direct selection communicator designed for use by individuals with communication disabilities. The device enables the user to speak one of eight pre-recorded messages simply by pressing one of the eight colored squares; pictures, symbols, or words may be inserted on the squares to identify the message. Messages are stored permanently until re-recorded and they may be re-recorded as often as necessary. This device is also available with a .25-inch or a 1/8-inch jacks ($135) to enable messages to be activated using external switches (sold separately). POWER: Battery operated. DIMENSIONS: The squares are 2 inches.
