Picture of EDMARK FUNCTIONAL WORD SERIES - FAST FOOD/RESTAURANT WORDS The Edmark Functional Word Series - Fast Food/Restaurant Words is a consumer skills training system and independent living skills and consumer tutorial program designed to teach people with cognitive disabilities to recognize and read 100 words used in ordering a meal in a fast food or table service restaurant. It teaches the functional vocabulary necessary for independent living. Students learn new sight words, practice sight recognition, reinforce that recognition and associate the word with its meaning through illustrations. Each vocabulary word is presented in a variety of formats: upper case, upper and lower case, and all lower case. The program includes 100 word recognition lessons, 100 word cards, 100 photo cards, 300 reproducible worksheets, 5 storybooks containing 50 stories, reading and social skills games, and a teacher's guide. All print materials are included on a CD-ROM for reprinting.
