The FaCTS Board is a communication board designed to be a simple, inexpensive, low-tech device for facilitated communication. The board consists of card stock printed with the alphabet in QWERTY format and some blank spaces. The back side of the sheet has all blank spaces, which may be used for picture symbols or words. The card stock attaches with report clips to a plexiglass template with .5-inch holes for each letter on the keyboard. The holes provide tactile feedback and a more defined visual target. An instructional booklet explaining the basics of facilitated communication, suggestions for using the FaCTS Board, and a list of additional resources is included. The board comes with a vinyl carrying case for portability. DIMENSIONS: Board is 8.5 x 11 inches.
