The Ziggy Medichair with Swing Tray is a lift and transfer lift system designed for use by individuals with mobility disabilities, spinal cord injury or bedridden individuals. It is a strapless lift and transfer system benefiting patients and caregivers with its four- point weight distribution lift process. Outstanding for rehabilitation patients, providing maximum care with minimal transfer, two in total, one transfer from their bed into the Ziggy Medic hair and a return transfer at night back to bed, three minutes each. One to two people may operate the lift system, with the lifting performed for the caregiver by a powerful gas cylinder reducing the risk of workman compensation lift related injuries. The unit is fully padded and is a six function medical chair designed to maintain patient and caregiver needs. It is constructed of tubular steel and is upholstered with hospital approved Naugahyde. The swing away tray has interchangeable full sized armrests. The tray mounts to the front of the frame, swings down to the side for storage, or, it can be mounted to be used on the side of the chair. The top can be adjusted vertically. OPTIONS: Commode seat cushion, I.V. Rod, attachable tray, and foot rest with calf pads. Specify color of tray armrest. CAPACITY (Medichair): 400 pounds, with locking casters.
