--- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 01/2009) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Open Up Jar and Bottle Opener is an automatic jar opener designed for use by individuals with limited grip strength. The device mounts beneath a cabinet or shelf, and when a jar or bottle is held up to the sone shaped opener, a safety motor is activated to open screw-tops and push-and-turn lids (including child-proof safety caps) from .5 to 4.75 inches in diameter. POWER: The device is available in an electric model ($37.50) and a battery-operated model ($28.50) using four D batteries (not included).
