Picture of CREATURE CARTOONS Creature Cartoons is a single switch program designed to improve attention skills and teach cause and effect, turn-taking, and switch use for individuals with developmental, cognitive, visual or physical disabilities or autism. Its benefits include increasing auditory and visual attention; training cause and effect and turn taking; developing intentionality; and offering recreational enjoyment. Users activate a single switch, touch screen, or the space bar to make the cartoon's story line continue. This program is also useful for individuals with mobility disabilities who need practice using a single switch. The program can be set to run with command prompts, such as "Show me more" or situational prompts which are natural pauses in the cartoon. As a reward, cartoons can be run without prompts so that no switch activation is required. COMPATIBILITY: For use with Macintosh or IBM and compatible computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: The IBM and compatible version requires a Pentium 133 megaHertz (MHz) or faster processor; a hard drive with Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP or later; 16 megabytes (MB) RAM; Windows compatible sound card; 4x speed CD drive. The Macintosh version requires a 68040 processor or PowerPC; System 7.5 or later; 8 MB application RAM; and a 4x speed CD-ROM.
