Picture of TRANSEND LT TranSend LT is a dual braille / print printing system designed for individuals who are blind or have low vision. The system can produce braille together with ink text on alternating lines on the same page. Ink text can be either large or small print. The system consists of a control unit, a dot matrix printer, and a braille printer. TranSend uses text files that can be created by most popular word processing programs. The system has a built-in speech synthesizer which speaks all prompts as they appear on the control unit's screen. POWER: Uses either direct current (DC) or alternating current (AC). OPTIONS: The TranSend LT control unit can be purchased separately or together with an Epsom dot matrix printer and one of the manufacturer's Braille printer models (Romeo 25, Romeo Pro 50, Thomas, ET, Juliet Classic, Juliet Pro, Juliet Pro 60, BookMaker, or Braille Express; see separate entries). DIMENSIONS (HxLxW): Control unit is 3 x 12 x 9.5 inches. WEIGHT: Control unit is 9.5 pounds. WARRANTY: One year for the control unit and braille printer, two years for the Epsom printer.
