PIVOT POLE
--- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 04/2008) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Pivot Pole is a transfer aid designed to allow independent transfers for individuals who use a wheelchair. It releives the caregiver from engaging in demanding and potentially dangerous activities when assisting a patient in transfering. The Pivot Pole is a vertical pole with handlebars that holds the weight of the patient and swivels freely to allow freedom of movement. Also available is the Forearm Pivot Pole that is designed for patients with poor grip strength or limited range of motion in their upper extremities. When used with a balance board, it allows the patient to balance and provides the proper leverage the patient needs for a smooth transfer. It can also be used with a gait belt. WARRANTY: Two years.
