Retained in database for reference. -- The Franklin Talking Dictionary is a voice output dictionary designed for use by individauls who are blind or have low vision or learning disabilities. This handheld unit functions as a dictionary, thesaurus, spelling corrector, and English language resource. Every letter, word, phrase, definition, synonym, help message, menu, and game talks at various volumes and speeds. Every word can be heard letter by letter or sound by sound. Every key speaks its letter or function. The typewriter style keyboard has high contrast lettering and raised press on locator dots and a large screen with 0.25 inch display characters. It is portable and comes with cassette and print instruction manuals, headphones for private listening and carry case. POWER: Four "AA" batteries or AC adapter (both included). DIMENSIONS: 5.5 x 5 x 1 inches. WEIGHT: 11 ounces. WARRANTY: One year.
