Communication Icon Galleries CD-ROM is a word catalog for speech therapists designed for use with Ke:nx, and Ke:nx On:Board, the Discover:Switch, or the Discover:Screen (see entries). This CD-ROM combines five icon libraries with more than 7,000 icons that can be altered to suit the user. The program is designed to locate icons by topic or name and contains MacinTalk II and MacinTalk II Pro text-to-speech voices designed for high-quality speech output from the computer; the user is also given the option of adding a man's or woman's voice to the icons. Included are the Core Picture Vocabulary Gallery, Kids in Action Gallery, COMPIC Gallery, DynaSyns Gallery, and the PCS Gallery (see entries). COMPATIBILITY: For use on Macintosh computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: CD-ROM drive, hard drive, and System 7 are required. Ke:nx 3.0 or higher or one of the Discover: access products is also needed. A color monitor and printer are recommended.
