--- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 8/2011) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Trunk Lift is a trunk mounted wheelchair alternative loader designed to lift scooter bases into an automobile trunk. The device consists of a boom mounted in a frame and attached to the trunk of a standard size car. When the boom is placed in the socket, it swings out over the base of the powered wheelchair alternative or scooter (with the tiller and seat removed). A remote control raises the scooter above the trunk, swings it into position, and lowers it into the trunk. The boom is then removed and placed in the trunk. POWER: The system operates using the car battery. CAPACITY: Maximum lifting capacity 150 pounds. DIMENSIONS: The L-shaped base frame is 18 x 19.5 x 10 inches. The full extension of the boom is adjustable from 29 to 39 inches and is 45 inches high when fully extended. Up to 3 inches can be cut from the arm to make the minimum extension 26 inches and the minimum height 33 inches. WEIGHT: 20 pounds.

Notes: The trunk lift was designed for the Chauffeur by Electric Mobility, but it may be possible to modify it for other powered wheelchair alternatives.
