(Verified 08/2012) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- Talking Utilities for ProDOS is a voice output computer instruction program designed for individuals who are blind or have low vision. It is an adapted version of Apple Computer, Inc.'s "ProDOS User's Disk," a guide to the ProDOS operating system. The 5.25 inch disk contains programs which make it easier to manipulate the information contained in disk files. It includes Textalker (see separate entry) text to speech software. The package lets users: convert between DOS 3.3 and ProDos and examine files from a menu using arrow keys; prepare disks to receive information, copy disks or files, delete files and more; read ASCII text files with syntesized speech. Documentation is provided on cassette titled Apple II ProDOS User's Manual, with an addendum provided in regular type and braille. COMPATIBILITY: Apple II. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Apple II computer with at least 128K of RAM.
