Picture of MELROSE WOLVERINE CUSTOM LACROSSE WHEELCHAIR The Melrose Wolverine Custom Lacrosse Wheelchair is a sports wheelchair designed for use by individuals with lower extremity or mobility disabilities or spinal cord injury. Each custom-built wheelchair is fabricated after consultation with the athlete or user, and it is built to comply with international rules of WLAX (Wheelchair Lacrosse). Features that can help in the game include wings mounted to the front that sit flush to the rear wheels to fend off opposing wheelchairs, fixed camber between 10 to 20 degrees to increase on-court maneuverability and assist wheelchair stability, and a central rear anti-tip to allow most of the weight to be centralized over the camber bar to increase on-court maneuverability. FRAME: Aluminum (standard) or titanium (optional) frame built to individual specifications for size, rake and camber; fixed camber bars from 10 to 20 degrees; powdercoat finish; wings mounted to the front flush to the rear wheels; rear anti-tips. SEAT: Adjustable back height (standard). Options include adjustable tension seat back, alloy seat base, waist strap tapered seat. UPHOLSTERY: Seat and back upholstery (standard); back bar cover (optional). ARMRESTS: Fabric skirt guards (standard); alloy skirt guards (optional). CASTERS: Rollerblade castors. WHEELS: 24 inch diameter quick release wheels (standard). Options include 25-inch, 26-inch, or 700-centimeter diameter quick release wheels; smooth or treaded high pressure tires; rubber coated pushrims; spoke guards. FOOTRESTS: Foot strap and adjustable footplate height (standard); ABS on footplate (optional).
