Picture of RETROLIFT The RetroLift is an elevating seat attachment for a wheelchair designed for use by people with lower extremity and mobility disabilities and spinal cord injury and others who use a wheelchair. It will vertically raise a person seated in a wheelchair up to 17 inches. This product securely attaches to any conventional wheelchair without any special tools, and it comes equipped with a back support, armrests and a plush 2-inch thick cushion. A flat seat pan with Velcro strips is also available to if the user has a personal custom cushion. The RetroLift is made of aluminum and polypropylene, and it is battery powered with push-button controls to move up and down. The wheelchair brakes must be locked before activating the RetroLift, and the user should completely lower the RetroLift before unlocking the wheelchair brakes. The RetroLift includes several safety features, including a lap belt and emergency shut off switch, and if too much force is exerted on the armrests, the backrest will come forward to remind the user that the armrests are not weight supporting. An instruction manual is also included. POWER: Uses 2 rechargeable 18-volt rechargeable 2.6 Ah Litheon batteries (included). Only 1 battery is required for operation. A charger and battery transport bag are included. OPTIONS: Folding cart to carry the RetroLift; transfer ramp. DIMENSIONS (HxDxW) 5 to 17 x 18 x 17 inches. It fits wheelchairs with seat widths of18 to 22 inches. The seatbelt fits waists up to 55 inches. ARMRESTS: Swingaway, locking armrests. CAPACITY: 300 pounds. WEIGHT: Less than 40 pounds. COLOR: Frame is black; cushion available in black or pink. WARRANTY: 1 year warranty.
