Picture of JAZZY 1420 (MODELS 2HD-SS, 2HD-C, 2VHD-SS, 2VHD-C, 3VHD-SS & 3VHD-C) The Jazzy 1420, models 2HD-SS, 2HD-C, 2VHD-SS, 2VHD-C, 3VHD-SS and 3VHD-C, is a bariatric powered wheelchair designed for indoor and outdoor use by large adults with lower extremity or mobility disabilities or spinal cord injury. FRAME (LxW): 46 x 27.25 inches with a 4.5-inch ground clearance and a 25.75-inch turning radius. This wheelchair comes standard with Active-Trac suspension for enhanced outdoor performance. It has a non-folding frame with 8-inch front anti-tip wheels controlled by independent dynamic spring-struts. The chair comes in champagne, gray, candy apple red, sunburst orange, viper blue or onyx black. CONTROLS: A 70 amp VR2 integral controller is standard; a 70 amp PG Microdrive controller is optional. MWD: Two motor, independent mid-wheel drive. SEAT (WxD): The standard seat is a 22 x 20 inches or 24 x (20 or 22) inches contoured high-backed scooter-style seat with or without a solid seat pan, with a headrest. A manual reclining high back seat (WxD) (16, 18 or 20) x (16, 18 or 20) inches is also available for no extra charge. Medium backrests are available, and TRU-Balance and Synergy seats are optional. UPHOLSTERY: Beige or gray vinyl. ARMRESTS: Flip-up, removable armrests with 10- or 14-inch arm pads, are standard; height-adjustable padded armrests are optional. BRAKES: Electronic, regenerative disc brakes. CASTERS: 9-inch pneumatic rear casters are standard; 16-inch solid rear casters are optional. WHEELS: 16-inch pneumatic wheels are standard; 16-inch solid wheels are optional. FOOTRESTS: A height-and angle-adjustable footrest platform is standard. Swing-away footrests, elevating footrests, and heel loops are available. OPTIONS: Dust cover, cup holder, rear basket, oxygen tank holder, walker holder, and a cane/crutch holder. POWER: Uses two 12-volt Group 24 batteries. An off-board 8 amp battery charger is included. SPEEDS: 4.5 miles per hour with a maximum range of 20 miles. CAPACITY: 500 pounds. WARRANTY: Lifetime limited warranty on the frame and a 13-month warranty on electronics and drive motors (models 2HD-SS, 2HD-C, 2VHD-SS and 2VHD-C); lifetime limited warranty on the frame, two-year warranty on electronics, and an 18-month warranty on the drive motors (models 3VHD-SS and 3VHD-C).
