ScanSoft, Teltronics, and 1450 Incorporated Team to Enable Speech-Based Accessibility Solutions for Individuals With Disabilities

Article announcing that ScanSoft, Incorporated, is teaming with 1450 Incorporated to provide a range of solutions based on speech recognition and text-to-speech software products. ScanSoft’s Dragon NaturallySpeaking 7 software provides the speech engine for Teltronics’ latest release of the iCommunicator 4.0 program, which is marketed by 1450. The device offers people who are deaf or hard of hearing independent, two-way communication with people who can hear by translating speech into text, sign language, and a synthesized voice. Used in educational, corporate, healthcare, and public access settings, the iCommunicator enables people to increase their independence and fully participate in all types of communication situations.
