Article discusses accessibility features included in Windows XP Home Edition and Windows XP Professional operating systems from Microsoft. Accessibility options include Microsoft’s Sticky Keys, Mouse Keys, high contrast settings for inverted colors, Sound Sentry and Show Sounds, and Magnifier. An on-screen keyboard is included, which displays a software image of the keyboard on the screen. The program allows the user to type using a mouse, joystick, singe keyboard key, or singe switch. Options can be set for the user to click on the virtual key to select or position the pointer in the “hover to select” mode.
