By Rafio, Brock; HomeCare Magazine,
Publication Date: December 2002

Article discusses the iBOT 3000 Mobility System from Independence Technology, which is a powered mobility device that allows people who use wheelchairs to climb stairs, traverse obstacles, and negotiate steep, uneven terrain. The iBOT is able to rise vertically to eye level, and uses gyroscopic technology to balance on two wheels. The system features four like-sized wheels that rotate up and over one another to climb stairs. These features could make the iBOT more appealing to people who prefer to lead an active lifestyle.
