New Features in JAWS 6.0

Article discusses new features in Version 6.0 of JAWS for Windows, which is a screen reader program from Freedom Scientific. The main addition to the software package is Freedom Scientific’s DAISY digital talking book reader, along with files in DAISY format. Version 6.0 also has the ability to custom label fields and buttons on web pages and a “skim reading” feature that provides the user with a quick, efficient way to read a condensed version of a document or segment.
