By Dyslexic.com,
Publication Date: 2005

Article describes textThing from Topologika, which is a software program designed to provide educators with multi-sensory reading and literature activities for students with a wide range of learning disabilities, including dyslexia. Students can participate in any of nine activities, all of which can be modified so that they are appropriate to their ages and individual abilities. Activities focus on skills that include text building, text sequencing, spelling, and punctuation. The program’s text-to-speech capabilities can be useful for students who require additional reading support, while a primary or adult user interface can be chosen to match the user’s age.
