Mind Manager

By James, Abi; Dyslexic.com,
Publication Date: October 2003

Article discusses MindManager from Mindjet Software, which is a software program for students and adults with dyslexia. The application supports mind mapping theory, which utilizes visual methods for the organization of concepts in writing projects. MindManager allows for the efficient management of ideas by simplifying brainstorming sessions, note taking, and planning sessions through the use of text, notes, images, and hyperlinks. Mind maps can be split into manageable sizes in order to facilitate focus and communication in writing tasks, project management, and presentations. The theory behind concept mapping for people with dyslexia is discussed online at Dyslexic.com (http://www.dyslexic.com/database/articles/conceptmapping.html).
