Access to Books: Alternate Text Production Center (ATPC) of the California Community Colleges

Article discusses the Alternate Text Production Center (ATPC) of the California Community Colleges, which is the first publicly funded alternate resource created to serve the largest postsecondary educational system in the world. The ATPC produces free Braille, large print, tactile, and electric text for all 108 community colleges in California. The ATPC also provides services for a fee to California State Colleges and Universities for all students with print disabilities.
