Starkey 'nFusion' Hearing Aids Eliminate Feedback And Automatically Adjust To Acoustic Environment

By Hearing Mojo,
Publication Date: April 2006

Article focuses on Starkey Laboratories’ Inspire OS fitting software, which claims to completely eliminate feedback while providing improved speech understanding in noise, including automatic adjustment to different listening environments. The Inspire software also makes it easier for audiologists to communicate with clients and fine-tune hearing aid programming. The system features a feedback cancellation system called Active Feedback Intercept, while its Directional Speech Detector and Acoustic Signature technologies lock into the direction of speech sources and automatically adapt to compensate for different background noise environments.
