The BrailleNote: A Valuable Aid for Students and Professionals

Article focuses on the BrailleNote, which is a Braille notetaker from New Zealand’s Pulse Data International and distributed in North America by HumanWare. The application operates under the Windows CE Operating System, which allows it to be integrated with all Microsoft Word functions and pop3 e-mail, while the BrailleNote is also compatible with most desktop or laptop computers. HumanWare provides BrailleNote orientation workshops at no cost to educators and other professionals in the field of visual disabilities.
