WordCore: A Word-Based Language Program for Vanguard and Vantage Communication Aids

By Cross, Russell T., MRCSLT; CSUN Technology and Persons With Disabilities Conference - 2002,
Publication Date: 2002

Paper focuses on WordCore from Prentke Romich, which is a word-based communication program that allows the user to generate spontaneous vocabulary. Users can select a word directly from the program’s Core Vocabulary screen, or can access the Spelling Keyboard and Word Rows that contain up to 15 high frequency words. If the word cannot be found in either the Core Vocabulary or Word Rows, a word prediction application can be accessed. Examples and instructions for using the program are included.
