Victor Reader From VisuAide: The Most Complete and Accessible Line of Digital Talking Book Players

By Landry, Christian; CSUN Technology and Persons With Disabilities Conference - 2002,
Publication Date: 2002

Paper focuses on Victor Reader products from VisuAide, which were designed to read talking books recorded on CD-ROM, and to provide quick, easy navigation through a book’s structure. Unlike talking books on cassette, Victor Reader allows users to move directly to a specific section or passage, skip from page to page, hear the table of contents, and insert convenient bookmarks. Three Victor Reader products are described: (1) Victor Reader Classic, which is ideal for leisure reading, best sellers, novels, and magazines; (2) Victor Reader Pro, which was designed to navigate through more complex works such as reference materials and textbooks; and (3) Victor Reader Soft, which is the software version of the digital talking book player.
