By Chen, Ting-Yu (Anne); Mann, William C.; Tomita, Machiko; Nochajski, Susan; Occupational Therapy Journal of Research, Vol. 20, No. 3, pp. 179-199
Publication Date: Summer 2000

Study examining the relationship between caregiver involvement in the selection and use of assistive devices by frail older adults and their patterns of use or abandonment. Data used in the study are from the Caregiver Assistive Device Survey. The data came from interviews with 20 frail older adults who were cognitively intact and their caregivers. Results indicate that caregiver involvement in selection and use of devices was associated with greater use and satisfaction by frail older adults.
