Developments in Research and Technology

By Ross, Mark; Hearing Loss Magazine, Vol. 21, No. 6, pp. 32-35
Publication Date: November/October 2000

Article on the use of telecoils as assistive listening devices. The article offers some pros (low cost, batteries are not needed) and cons (the device takes considerable room, physically) on their usability. Also discussed are two clinical services that would be helpful to hearing aid users: real ear tests and hearing assistive technologies.
