Technology and Teacher Education in Special Education: Disaster or Deliverance?

Article discussing the overall effectiveness of special education teacher training in assistive technology. The author takes a look at current and future trends in technology in special education and teacher education. The technologies addressed are given the general title of "computer assisted learning program," and the positive and negative effects on using these kinds of products are examined. Personnel preparation and teacher's attitudes concerning training for teaching with new technology is covered as well.
