Article discussing Articulation I: Consonance Phonemes from Learning Fundamentals, a comprehensive two disc set designed for drill and practice on the speech sounds necessary to improve speech intelligibility. Articulation I covers English consonants in the initial, medial, and final positions. There are 1,320 words, grouped by voice and voiceless phoneme pairs in 11 categories. The user simply listens to the words, sounds, phrases, and sentences for practice in articulation. The discs come with homework sheets, and a manual provides transfer and generalization activities for students needing work in central auditory processing, literacy, dyslexia, vocabulary, auditory memory, and working memory. People with aphasia, right hemisphere syndrome, traumatic brain injury, dysarthria, and apraxia could benefit from using Articulation I.
