Summit Math and Reading Version 1.7

Article about the release of Summit Math and Summit Reading Versions 1.7 from the Denali Project. Summit is an educational software system that was designed to help students improve their scores on standardized tests, and assist students in meeting their education goals. The program contains comprehensive reading and mathematics instruction for grades three through eight, and includes over nine hundred learning activities. Detailed reports on students' performances and progress are provided for educators by Summit's management system, including proficiency-based assessment. Summit Reading activities include word skills, research skills, reading strategies, writing strategies, and practice drills for standardized tests. Summit Math covers number concepts, measurements, fractions, decimals, percents, ratios, geometry, statistics/probability, and algebraic ideas. Both programs can be effective in a group or individual classroom setting.
