Hondas Now Available

By PN: Paraplegia News, Vol. 61, No. 2, p. 23
Publication Date: February 2007

Article focuses on licensing agreement between Vantage Mobility International and Honda that will allow for an accessible conversion of the Odyssey minivan. The process of converting the Odyssey involves removing the vehicle’s floor and replacing it with one that is ten inches lower. An automatic ramp and door are also added. The process requires a 3-month wait, and it adds 13 to 16 thousand dollars onto the normal cost of the van. Honda also hopes to provide stripped vehicles in 2008, which feature no seats or carpeting for simpler, quicker accessibility conversions.
