Amplicom USA Releases New PowerTel 601 Wireless Wrist Shaker

News story describes a wireless wrist shaker designed to notify hearing and vision impaired individuals of an incoming telephone call. The PowerTel 601 shaker is worn like a bracelet or wrist watch and either vibrates or flashes when a call is received. The unit is reportedly water resistant and features up to 50 hours of use in standby mode. Other features, some of which can only be used with the PowerTel 680 line of telephones, include the ability to answer calls in speakerphone mode and a dedicated button to automatically dial emergency numbers.
