(Verified 08/2012) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Echo II with Textalker-GS, model 1-07213-00, is a speech synthesizer designed to provide voice output capablity for most programs that are text based for individuals who are blind or have low vision. Features include Quick Review, a means by which you can review the screen without actually going into review mode. Textalker-GS comes on two 3.5 inch disks, one containing the program, the other the documentation. Documentation is also provided on cassette and in large print type. The Echo II hardware includes an interface card; an external speaker box with a knob for volume control, jack for headphones, and a cable for connection to interface card; and installation instructions in regular type and Braille. COMPATIBILITY: Apple II+. IIe or IIGS. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Apple computer with at least 512K of RAM and a 3.5 inch disk drive.
