Picture of BEAM N READ LED 6 DELUXE HANDS FREE LIGHT (MODEL BNR LED 6-3) The Beam N Read LED 6 Deluxe Hands Free Light, model BNR LED 6-3, is a battery-operated lamp designed for use by individuals with low vision, mobility, or upper extremity disabilities. This versatile light is worn around the neck with the included adjustable neck strap to provide steady, hands-free lighting for reading, crafts, and other personal tasks. The light also provides personal space lighting for walking or wheeling a wheelchair in the dark and during power outages. The light is turned on and off by flipping the adjustable reflector hood up or down without requiring the fine motor skills needed for a small button or slide switch. The reflector can operated with one hand. The neck strap and reflector are adjustable. The unit has six bright LEDs in a row for an extra-wide but still personal lighting area, a clip-on orange soft light filter, a clip-on red filter, and a clip-on acrylic Fresnel magnifier for detail work. The LEDs never need replacing. POWER: Uses 4 standard alkaline AA batteries for 48 hours of use. Optional vehicle direct current (DC) and alternating current (AC) power adapters are available (the power adapters do not recharge batteries). DIMENSIONS: 1 x 4.5 x 3.25 inches.
