This instrument uses a combination of traditional methods such as an examiner and non-traditional methods such as role playing. The device provides information in 10 categories, including reading/writing/calculating, content utilization, speech acts, and nonverbal symbols. The complete kit includes an administration manual, scoring kit, picture book, and an audiotape cassette. The following components are also sold separately: CADL administration manual ($31), scoring kit ($36), picture book ($48), and the audiotape cassette ($23).
