Simon Spells is a spelling tutorial program designed for use by children in first through third grade with learning and other cognitive disabilities. The program features a choice of Simon or Susan as an on-screen tutor to guide students through individualized lessons at their own pace. The tutor provides positive written and verbal feedback to aid in the learning process. The tutor presents words phomemically and in the context of a sentence to aid in comprehension. Lessons are time and tracked to improve the learning process and prevent frustration. The program includes all Dolch vocabulary words and 500 additional words frequently used in reading and writing. COMPATIBILITY: For use on Macintosh LCIII or higher computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: System 7 or later, 5 megabytes (MB) of hard disk space, 8 MB RAM, a two-speed or faster CD-ROM drive, and a 256-color monitor.
