The Clarity Professional XLC3.4 is an amplified, hearing aid compatible, large button cordless telephone with speaker designed for use by individuals who have low vision or are hard of hearing. The handset amplifies incoming sound up to 50 decibels (dB), amplifies outgoing speech up to 15 dB, and the base offers four adjustable ringer levels up to 95 dB. The phone features Digital Clarity Power technology for amplification, DECT (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications) 6.0 technology for interference-free communication, and a bright visual ringer with voicemail indicator. The phone speaks the numbers as they are dialed, and Talking Caller ID and a Caller ID screen with large font tells the user who is calling. A belt clip for hands-free mobility is included and the phone can be wall mounted. The handset also has a jack (2.5 or 3.5 millimeters) for assistive listening devices or headset. Up to four additional handsets (model XLC3.1, sold separately) can be used with the phone. POWER: The base is powered by a standard 100-240 volt plug; the handset uses a 1.2 volt 600mAh Ni-MH battery pack. Battery life is 6.5 hours of talk time and 130 hours of standby time. Dual power battery backup that lets the user make calls when the power is out is also included. DIMENSIONS (LxWxH): Handset unit - 7.25 x 2 x 1.25 inches. Base - 5.3 x 4.5 x 3.6 inches. WEIGHT: 0.5 pound (handset unit), 0.44 pound (base). WARRANTY: One year limited warranty.
