--- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 12/2002) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- Illustrations is a braille graphics program designed to allow the user to print out pictures from the computer screen as raised dot tactile graphic representations. Any drawing tool may be used (Koala Pad, PowerPad, mouse) to create the pictures. Once the pictures have been created and are displayed on the screen, Illustrations allows them to be printed in raised dot form using one of these braille printers: Ohtsuki BT5000, Romeo Brailler, VersaPoint Brailler, Perkins Briller, Personal Brailler (see separate entries for these products). Three features in the program designed to increase usefulness include the ability to pick which panel (section of the screen) will be printed, a Print-to-Disk function for creating pictures that can be used with word processors, and the ability to print borders, making it easier to fit panels together once the whole graphic is printed. There are three companion picture disks for Illustrations, each with ready-to-use graphics: Coloring Shapes ($45), Braille Readiness Numbers 1 2 3's ($65), and Braille Readiness A, B, C's ($65). COMPATIBILITY: For use on Apple IIc and IIc Plus, Apple IIe, and Apple IIGS computers. Some of the tools that work well with this program are MousePaint by Apple Computer, Thunderscan by Thunderware, Inc.; 816/Paint by Baudville, Inc.; The Graphics Exchange by Roger Wagner; Graphics Master with TouchGraphics by Personal Touch Corp; and PowerPad with MicroIllustrator by Island Graphics Corp.
