« Previous Product Next Product »--- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 12/2002) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Pixelmaster is a thermojet color printer capable of producing raised print, Braille, and tactile graphics on the same page. The raised effect is produced by use of plastic "crayons" which melt inside the unit and solidify on contact with paper. The unit can print in approximately 262,000 colors and supports the PostScript printing language. Braille may be produced by installing a Braille Font Card ( extra) into the printer, allowing the unit to produce a line of print followed by a line of Braille that contains the same text. The height of the Braille dots may be adjusted with a control pad on the printer. The Pixelmaster is available in two models: a 512 kilobyte model ($5, 995.00), for text only, and a 2.5 megabyte model ($7,995.00) for text and graphics. The Braille Font Card ($299.00) and the Duxbury Braille Translator (extra; see entry, Duxbury Systems, Inc.) are required for either model to produce Braille. Twelve crayons are included; boxes of crayons are $66.00 each, and are available in either rainbow (48 yellow, 48 cyan, 48 magenta) or black. COMPATABILITY: For use on Apple Macintosh, IBM PS/2, and IBM PC computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: The Braille Font Card and the Duxbury Braille Translator.
