Joseph's Readers Talking Software - Grades K-8 is a reading tutorial program designed for use by children with cognitive or learning disabilities. This program is designed to teach reading to non-readers by turning a personal computer (PC) into a personal reading coach. The program comes in four levels (1st grade, 2nd grade, 3rd grade, and 4th through 8th grades), with six to seven stories, 50 to 75 lessons, and 42 to 49 software applications per level, providing a total of over 18,000 language definition sound resources and 3,500 reinforcement activities. Every word and direction is read aloud to the students. An Egglish as Second Language (ESL) version for Spanish speakers is also available. This program is also available on line.
