(Verified 6/2005) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- Survival Words is a set of programs designed to teach words for community living, including "exit," "ped xing," "out of order," and "phone." Graphics and verbal reinforcement are incorporated in the learning exercises. Instruction, review, and evaluation functions are included. Input may be made via the keyboard or with a joystick. An Echo speech synthesizer is required for verbal reinforcement during use of Survival Words. Contact manufacturer for system requirements for the IBM PC and PS/2 versions. Survival Words is $149.95 for the English version; an English/Spanish version is available for $169.95. COMPATIBILITY: For use on Apple II or IBM PS/2 computers.
