--- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 7/2004) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Single-Switch Multi Appliance Unit, model 1492, is a control switch interface unit designed to enable eight alternating current appliances to be controlled with a single switch by individuals with mobility and other physical disabilities. When the switch is pressed, a row of lights on this cordless unit indicates which appliances are on or off. By holding the switch down, the user can scan from one light to the next until the desired appliance is selected. Releasing the switch turns the selected appliance on or off. Momentarily pressing the switch again retrurns the appliance to the former state. The number of appliances or devices to be scanned can be pre-selected from as few as three to as many as eight. The scanning speed can be adjusted to meet the user's specific needs. Also, if desired appliances may be controlled by pressing individual switches on the unit. The unit, which accepts both 0.25-inch or 1/8-inch plugs, can be placed on a table or wheelchair lapboard or it can be mounted on a bed rail or wheelchair using an optional gooseneck and clamp mount.

Notes: Shipping and handling charges are not included in the purchase price listed.
