(Verified 3/2000) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Rifton High Back Activity Chair, model GE89, is the same as the Rifton Youth Activity Chair (see separate entry), but features an alternate high back instead. This chair is manufacturer recommended as suitable for child or adults 41 to 70 inches tall. Included in the basic item are an adjustable footrest, 3 pairs of support blocks, hip and chest straps, and the adjustable height high back with back pad. The back allows varying seat depths and has slots for lateral support that allow width adjustment. The seat width and height are adjustable from 6 to 14.5 inches and 16 to 21.5 inches, respectively. The armrests have vertical and horizontal adjustments. The footrest pivots for easier transfers. The chair legs have 6 inches of adjustment in 1.5 inch increments. Independent adjustment allows the entire chair to tilt. The chair frame is made of aluminum. OPTIONS: Accessories include sandals, extra pairs of support blocks, a round abduction block with optional wrap around collar for 2 inches more of abduction, a seat pad, a 4-caster dolly with safety strap, and trays with handholds available in opaque phenolic plastic or clear lucite, with or without slots. DIMENSIONS: Overall height is 31.5 to 43.5 inches. WEIGHT: 37 pounds.
