Stickybear ABC Deluxe is an academic and pre-reading skills tutorial program designed to teach the letters of the alphabet for children from pre-kindergarten through second grade who are developmentally or physically disabled. The program features four separate learning activities which provide skills practice in alphabet learning. Students can use phonics keywords to select, identify, pronounce, write, and choose letters. The program allows the teacher to control the presented material, make adjustments to the activities, produce off-screen worksheets, and allow students to create portfolio assessment sheets. Students can learn through prompted direction or through the discovery method by selecting either structured or non-structured mode of play. Various instructional modes with animation and sound are available for every letter of the alphabet. The school versions and above also come with freely reproducable lesson plans and manipulative masters. Available languages are English and Spanish. COMPATIBILITY: Windows or Macintosh. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: For hybrid direct drive: Windows 2000, XP, Vista or 7, CD ROM drive and from 150 to 260 MB of free space on the hard drive; PowerPC G3, G4, G5 or higher or Intel processor, CD ROM drive, Mac OS X v.10.4 or above and 150 to 260 MB of free space on the hard drive.
