--- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 9/1999) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Horizon Mono Ski is a lightweight mono-ski for downhill skiing, weighing approximately 20 pounds. The frame is made of aluminum and disassembles into three pieces for transport and storage. CHAIRLIFT COMPATIBILITY: Self-loading. The loading system utilizes a compressed air cylinder under the seat to assist the skier in raising the seat for chairlift loading. This mechanism, activated by the skier pushing down on the outriggers, takes the seat from 11 or 12 inches to a locked, loaded position of 18 to 19 inches. SUSPENSION: The suspension is based on a parallelogram design: the parallel support struts travel together in an arc to provide a smooth suspension action while keeping the seat level during shock travel. The shock damper is capable of four or more inches of downward travel and can be adjusted for different ski conditions. BINDERS: The struts are mounted on binders that are separately attached on two plates allowing the ski to flex. DELIVERY TIME: With insurance approval or a down payment to secure purchase, delivery is normally two to three weeks, but may also be available from inventory for immediate shipment.

Notes: Air assisted loading systems, carrying bags, outriggers, and spare binders are available at additional cost. ** Ski videos are available for group and institutional use. ** The Horizon Mono Ski was tested by USDST members in Colorado, Washington state, California, and Canada.

Price: 1995.00.
