--- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 01/2013) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. ---Combination in the ear Tinnitus Masker and Hearing Aid. Suitable for subjects with hearing impairment for whom masking noise has demonstrated some cessation of the tinnitus. Provides a variable shaped noise spectrum together with a hearing aid for the purpose of masking tinnitus while providing amplification in the same instrument. Dispenser or user adjustments permit selection of broad band or high or low frequency emphasis noise and aid response. It is essentially a TM3 masker with a hearing aid added. Two volume controls are provided: one for noise level and the other for hearing aid gain. Can mix the amount of noise and amplification as required. Further variation is provided by the 3 position user operated frequency response switch and two screwdriver actuated frequency response potentiometers. Produces approximately 90 db SPL of shaped broad band noise.
