--- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 2/2009) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- Visual Motor Skills, model 401, is a cognitive skills tutorial program designed to emphasize and reinforce such concepts as visual tracking ability (vertical and horizontal), cause and effect, pegboard relationships in addition to color and shape sorting for persons with cognitive disabilities. For most of the selections in this computer program, a lifelike hand is designed to pick up an object and proceed to move across the screen. The user must decide, depending on the activity, when the hand should drop or stack the object in its proper place (i.e. drop a peg into empty pegboard slot); if the object is not dropped or stacked in the specific spot, the computer makes a sound to alert the user that they have made the wrong choice. COMPATIBILITY: IBM PC or any related compatibles. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: MS DOS and a VGA monitor. OPTIONAL: Serial or joystick port, switch or switch adapter.
