--- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 9/2003) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Enduro Optima is an adjustable, child tilt-in-space, reclining wheelchair designed to grow with the user. FRAME: Lightweight, expandable, rigid titanium frame in a choice of 8 colors. An optional fold-down back is offered. Push handles and adjustable, kick-up anti-tippers are included. SEAT: The seating system incorporates a tilt-in-space feature that allows the correct positioning of the seat and back while angling the seating unit from 90 to 135 degrees. The seating system includes solid seat and back inserts in a choice of 14 colors and with a choice of .5 or 1-inch foam. Optional non-folding reclining or angle-adjustable or I backs are also available. The seat width is adjustable from 10 to 14 inches and the seat depth adjusts from 8 to 14 inches in 1 inch increments. The back height adjusts from 10 to 17 inches. The seat height from floor is adjustable from 13.25 to 19.5 inches, depending on wheel and caster size and adjustment. Wedged, roll, or asymmetrical split seats are also available. UPHOLSTERY: Vinyl upholstery in a choice of 11 colors is a free option. ARMRESTS: Cantelievered armrests are standard. Cantilevered angle-adjustable or quick-release height-adjustable armrests are optional. BRAKES: Wheel locks are included. CASTERS: Solid core 5-inch casters are standard. Solid core 6-inch casters are also available. Pneumatic 8-inch casters are optional on chairs with 22 and 24-inch rear wheels. WHEELS: A choice of 20, 22, or 24 inch mag fixed or quick-release wheels is standard. 12-inch mag wheels are available on chairs with a 14-inch seat height. Axle positions are adjustable. Chrome, vinyl-coated, or projection handrims are optional. One-arm drive is available. FOOTRESTS: 70-degree, swing-away, angle-adjustable footrests are standard. Angle-adjustable, detachable 90-degree or 70-degree footrests; swing-away length- and height-adjustable elevating legrests; and elevating, articulating legrests are optional. OPTIONS: Contoured or adjustable headrest, lumbar pad, fixed or swingaway lateral trunk supports, flip-down abductor, knee adductor pads, lateral hip guides, chest strap or harness, seatbelt, tray, heel loops, ankle or toe straps, and others. WEIGHT: 30 pounds without seating components.
